Data I Process 

I may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you. I have collated these into groups as follows:

Identity Data includes information such as first name, last name, title, date of birth, and other identifiers that you may have provided at some time.

Contact Data information includes information such as billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone numbers and any other information you have given to us for the purpose of communication or meeting.

Financial Data includes information such as your bank account and payment card details.

Transaction Data includes details about payments or communications to and from you and information about products and services you have purchased from me. 

Technical Data includes your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.

Profile Data includes information such as your username and password, purchases or orders made by you, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.

Marketing Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us; communication preferences; responses and actions in relation to your use of our services. I may aggregate anonymous data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Anonymous data is data that does not identify you as an individual. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal information in law because it does not reveal your identity.

For example, I may aggregate profile data to assess interest in a product or service.

However, if I combine or connect aggregated data with your personal information so that it can identify you in any way, I treat the combined data as personal information and it will be used in accordance with this privacy notice. 

 

Special Personal Information 

Special personal information is data about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. It also includes information about criminal convictions and offences.

I may collect the following special personal information about you in order to deliver services related to your wedding or event:

Where I am required to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of the contract between us and you do not provide us with that data when requested, I may not be able to perform the contract (for example, to deliver goods or services to you). If you don’t provide us with the requested data, we may have to cancel a product or service you have ordered but if we do, we will notify you at the time. 

Information I process because I have a contractual obligation with you 

 

When you create an account on my website, buy a service from me, or otherwise agree to my terms and conditions, a contract is formed between you and I.

In order to carry out our obligations under that contract I must process the information you give me. Some of this information may be personal information.

When you contact me, whether by telephone, through my website or by e-mail, I collect the data you have given to me in order to reply with the information you need.

I record your request and our reply in order to increase the efficiency of my business.

I keep personally identifiable information associated with your message, such as your name and email address so as to be able to track our communications with you to provide a high quality service.

Data Retention 

I will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes I collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

When deciding what the correct time is to keep the data for we look at its amount, nature and sensitivity, potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the processing purposes, if these can be achieved by other means and legal requirements.

For tax purposes the law requires me to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they stop being customers. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case I may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you. 

 

Disclosure of your personal data 

I may have to share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purposes set out above:

• Service providers who provide IT and system administration services
• Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services
• HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and other authorities based in the United Kingdom and other relevant jurisdictions who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances
• Third parties to whom we sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets
• We require all third parties to whom we transfer your data to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We only allow such third parties to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions 

 

How I protect your data 

I have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, I limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know such data. They will only process your personal data on my instruction and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

If you are in any way dissatisfied about how I process your personal information, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
