B&W modern luxe at pynes house, devon
a wedding editorial in collaboration with Westlake Photography
I’m so proud to finally share ‘Black & White Modern Luxe’, an editorial styled shoot that I planned, designed and styled back in November, along with the incredibly talented Westlake Photography.
Charlie and I wanted to create a shoot that represents stylish, modern couples looking for a hint of luxury, whilst having a classic and elegant touch and minimalist edge. We were both inspired by ‘Black Tie’ and quotes from Coco Chanel, and being complete and utter romantics at heart ourselves, wanted to create a beautiful love story; one filled with intimate moments, effortless details and modern textures and contrasts.
All set within a romantic, timeless setting, the shoot follows the story of ‘Amelia & Jackson’, a young, stylish couple totally in love with one-another. For them, their love is understated. Black and white. Uncomplicated. Through the art of floral design, styling and photography, their love and journey were captured in the most beautiful way.
The overall colour palette was kept fairly monochrome, but softened with hints of neutral tones. Everything used was carefully considered, with the smallest of details having a connection to their story. It was important that Orchids and Anthurium’s were used throughout, as they represent love, elegance, strength and friendship and really sum up the true beauty of a couple’s ever-lasting love and respect for one-another.
It was also incredibly important for both Charlie and I, especially during such uncertainty that the Wedding Industry faced this year, to work and collaborate with a team of leading creatives in their field.
Creating a concept and story was one thing, but the importance of working with some of the best professionals and suppliers and maintaining the highest level of quality was just as crucial to the shoot. Whilst times here are fairly quiet, we wanted to make the most of the time we had and offer our fellow professionals a platform to showcase their talents and prove just how much they are worth and what they bring to the UK Wedding Industry and the rest of the world.
a huge thanks to the shoot team ~
